Development and delivery oversight of Research and Innovation change priorities. Embedding a scaled agile approach across people, process and technology change.

Leading delivery of the programme to transform UCL’s Research and Innovation Support, including team leadership, planning, governance, risk and issue management, reporting, resource demand and budget/financial forecasting.

1. Leading, from concept to delivery, a major programme targeting £70m additional funding for investment and development of a continuous improvement (CI) culture across the University design, approval, team build, planning, launch and delivery of- Securing Executive approval and buy-in to the programme vision, objectives and approach - Delivering capability build. Recruiting and leading the programme team- Designing and implementing a blended Lean and programme management methodology - Delivering events to engage over 7000 staff and ‘crowd-source’ over 500 innovation ideas - Implementing a new governance/delivery framework; launch and oversight of 30 +projects - Successfully building Executive support; establishing governance and delivery framework.2. Supporting financial strategy delivery, including preparations for a new finance system procurement and development of capability to drive improved service across the University:- Developing CI capability in finance teams through workshops and training- Identifying cost-saving and income generating opportunities- Key role in business case development and approval for.a new finance business system Enabling - Procurement transformation; oversight of spend review and systems refresh.3. Coordination of the Covid-19 response programme supporting the NHS and other partners through the pandemic across PPE, research, space, staff and student volunteering:- Facilitating rapid, considered action to accelerate Covid research and support the NHS - Supervision of PMs; harmonisation of processes and ensuring transparency of activity - Personal project management of production of new BSI certified 3d printed visors - Building the framework for the University’s own campus reopening and student arrival.

A pivotal, high-pressure role in global delivery of a student journey change programme, impacting over 40000 students and 5000 staff, with a budget of tens of £m. Implementing a new ERP system and comprehensive process change in Malaysia ahead of UK and China rollout.- Successful deployment of new end-to-end student processes and system functionality - Effective project management from requirement gathering to benefit realisation- Leading a committed team, delivering critical outcomes under time and resource pressure - Built trust as a key ambassador for the programme vision and benefits- Oversight and accountability for planning, analysis, testing, training, engagement- Building strong relationships working across time zones and cultural barriers. Influencing global leadership, IT implementation partners and delivery teams to ensure effective change - Working with senior leadership to establish changes to roles and organisation structures- Key role in realising global changes to ways of working between the three campuses, while accounting for operating context. board membership and leadership of local governance.

Finding solutions to drive strategic improvement.
