Management•Management of one team member, including regular evaluations, supervision, setting objectives with them and helping them to stay motivated.•Training new staff and mentoring them, including supporting and advising them with their tasks as well as giving them autonomy within their work to come up with new ideas and develop their skill set. Operations and Logistics•Managing the day-to-day operations of the company vehicles, including arranging insurance, services, and MOTs when relevant.•Speaking to customers after the event to arrange delivery of items and ensuring good customer service is maintained throughout their entire customer journey.•Arranging logistics and operations, ensuring that the correct items and administration are taken to each event.•Procurement and implementation of technology contracts to develop apps to accept customer’s bids using wireless internet and iPads. •Liaise with suppliers to develop bespoke software which introduces the company to new potential clients, manages stock control, creates post event reports and financial summaries, so that all of this can be integrated into one centralised system.•Website maintenance, ensuring that all content is relevant and up to date.

•Building strong working relationships with suppliers. •Negotiating with suppliers on prices for new and repeat items.•Analysis of each event to understand which items sold well, which didn’t and therefore predict sales at similar events in future.•Calculating cost and designing new items from suppliers to ensure our items are bespoke. •Completing an inventory check twice a year and reporting back to the Managing Director and Financial Controller.

After a few months of being a runner I was quickly promoted to junior compositor. Where I rotoscoped and composited various shots for commercials that are played here in the UK, Europe and in some cases the United States as well. I have worked on a number of commercials including Marks & Spencer, Pc World, Dolmio and Gatorade (which was aired at half time of the 2007 Super Bowl). From working at MPC I now know how an International Post Production company runs and what is involved when it comes to fulfilling client needs. Be it changes in edits or ensuring that deadlines are met. Whilst working at MPC I have also witnessed how producers, Video Technicians and also Telecine operators do their job and what goes into each role. This gives me a broader understanding of how different departments work and how this can enable the entire company to work efficiently.

I worked on the National Village Show, which aired in June 2007. My role was to build relationships from scratch with potential contestants for the show. Once those relationships had been established and the contestants were at the event I was aiding the producers and film crew obtain interviews and sound bytes, which were later used when the program was aired. I was also on hand to dress sets, build and repair props.

I rose to Team Leader / Supervisor, having worked as barman and chef, my duties included running shifts, handling the opening and closing of the pub, cashing up, accepting deliveries and food hygiene checks. I dealt with a variety of different and challenging situations ranging from customer queries to arranging contractors, all my knowledge gained working in this environment taught me how to work best as not only a team player but also a team leader. I dealt with complaints admin stock lists and food hygiene. Working long hours and having up to 800 people in the venue kept me busy, alert and motivated to succeed in running a fun but yet safe establishment.
