As part of the Marks & Spencer Academy Team, I work to assist with recruitment for 17 stores across the local region, being the first point of contact for anybody with any problems, and using a wide variety of softwares to assist with this. I also then help to conduct inductions for new colleagues, and provide them with support during mandatory training where necessary. My role also includes upskilling existing colleagues, and providing training on various new policies and systems.

Working within the high paced mini market over a difficult summer riddled with covid restrictions, I demonstrated a high work ethic and strong attitude throughout the busy summer season, working both on the till and on the shop floor to ensure the shop was both stocked and tidy and customers were served quickly and efficiently

My role at the YMCA Theatre was purely voluntary and I worked here frequently over holidays and also included work with the theatre over lockdownMy role here included:- Using POS systems to sell soft drinks and sweet- Using booking systems to sell tickets, print reserved tickets, answer telephone enquiries, and deal with the public as their first face of contact- Check tickets and assist with seating in a medium sized theatre - Assisting disabled users of the building with finding their seats- Understanding and working with the team for evacuation procedures should they need to be used at any given time

My role here was entirely voluntary. I also worked with the theatre during lockdown period and in additional voluntary roles.My role here included:- Working within a large team to ensure the smooth operation of shows and performances - Working with guests and external producers to ensure a smooth working environment for both them and the technical crew - Taking lead of a small team of people to ensure the smooth running of the show- Being aware of evacuation procedures should they need to be used- Developing personal skill in lighting design, sound operation & backstage skills - Helping others with lighting / sound design & operation- Assisting the theatre with preparing for shows and large performances

This role was entirely voluntary and I was able to work as and whenMy role included:- Checking in/out books for people who may not be familiar with the system, including assisting with reservations, fines, etc - Helping to do a basic cleandown of certain areas, especially the self serve machines, during both busy and non busy periods- Helping the library staff with promotional material such as world book day etc - Helping to run book clubs and activities for under 16 users of the library - Helping elderly with their use of the library- Assisting tourists with local information, including booking taxis & general guidance about holiday camps, buses etc- Contacting bus companies etc for timetables and printed copies to provide to library users - Writing posts for social media- Working with other branches to ensure users of the library service were well met- Assisting with the national summer reading challenge, and engaging with young people over that- Assisting with day-to-day enquiries and providing a happy, friendly face to everybody in the library - Providing technical assistance to library users who may have required basic help on the computers or tablets
