While studying Commercial Art at my local vocational technical center, I never imagined myself becoming a printer. In 1985, I picked up a job in a small apparel screen print shop doing entry level labor. The objective was "getting my foot in the door" to obtain a position in the art department. However it was not to be, as it appeared I was a natural printer and a quick learner, quickly becoming lead printer and process developer, and beginning of a long, exciting career in apparel decorating.My thirty-eight plus year career includes machine set-up and operation in all areas of the screen printing process, training personnel, supervising and managing from 2 to more than 120 individuals over multiple shifts of production, attending trades shows and meeting with vendors, purchasing supplies and equipment, performing product Beta tests with manufacturers, and working directly with apparel brands in product and process development.
