As a manager and team lead in PNC's "Better Way" program I am responsible for the deployment of a lean management program to individual businesses within PNC Operations (Bank Ops and Lending Ops). I lead small teams of change agents who embed with businesses and coach them through the transition to lean management. I am responsible for the successful implementation of lean tools and techniques including daily huddles, root cause problem solving, process confirmations, standard work, and employee coaching within the line of business. I am concurrently responsible for the development and growth of the change agents on my team and for identifying, through process and performance analytics, opportunities for value capture in each business to which we deploy.

Responsible for planning, installing, operating, and maintaining redundant communication links between higher headquarters and subordinate elements that enable the commander to execute command and control in a combat environment.

Advise, mentor, train, and assist members of 2d Company Afghan Border Police (ABP), 2d Kandak, 6th Zone. Responsible for the assessment of and reporting on the combat skills and administrative functions of the ABP Company I was assigned to. In this role I led a small team of Marines and Sailors in an effort to improve the functions of the ABP as a fighting force. I saw drastic improvement in the combat, maintenance, and administrative readiness as a result. By the time my team left the 2d Company ABP were conducting independent patrols during day and night, had established a maintenance cycle for vehicles and weapons, and had begun their own training plan.

My primary responsibilities as the Executive Officer were to supervise the staff functions of the company to include operations and logistics and to ensure that the Company was in compliance with all orders and directives from higher headquarters. Before having to leave this post as a result of getting selected to deploy in an independent capacity, I supervised the establishment of the Company's Environmental Compliance Policy which proactively ensured that the Company was in compliance with all Base and Marine Corps Regulations with respect to hazardous materials handling and disposal. This policy was the first of its kind in the Battalion.
