Required a good understanding of electronic/optical theory to debug and understand large optical systems in the VUV range and the interplay of these systems as to give accruate measurements for a range of spectrometers, transmisometers, and filtered comparitor cameras. Updated and maintained many legacy pieces of software for controlling RF lamps used in scientific materials testing, typically in vacuum systems. Updated and maintained systems for SO2 gas detection using machine vision.
