I have worked across different business units, but focused my efforts over the 2012-2013 in FICC Operations managing budgets of around £86m and 1000 employees. In 2014 I expanded that remit across Shared Service functions within IB and Wealth Operations (Post trade functions) managing a budget of over £100m and over 1200 employees. Most recently moving to an Enterprise-wide Business Management providing governance and oversight to a £1.6bn budget and c30,000 employees.I also manage Colleague Engagement across that population and am currently Co-Chief Operating Officer across the EMBRACE multi-cultural network, which is an award winning diversity network across Barclays.

Led the European FX Cash Middle and Back-Office, followed by the Global FX Post Trade Services group and subsequently European Commodities too (for 1 year). During this time we managed through Eurozone crisis, disruptions in the Middle-East and the on-going integration of Lehmans. During this time we saw the Barclays FX business grow to be a top 3 firm from 11th in terms of volume and managed consistently well during this huge growth period.I took on extra responsibility across Commodities Post Trade too and directly managed a team of around 250 across FX and Commodities.

I joined Barclays in the summer of 2007 to work on the execution of Operations Mergers, but due to the nature of the market I managed Operations exposures through Credit Crisis scenarios, ran various streams of the Lehmans integration including PMO across the IB.

Starting as a temporary resource I worked my way through 7 promotions in 7 years and became Vice President in January 2006. I worked in Fund Accounting groups, Derivative Processing groups, FX Operations groups, moved into a central consultancy group called EMEA Consulting (internal)Through the consulting group I worked in the PMO for the JPMorgan & Chase Manhattan Bank merger and subsequently took ownership of various streams in the JPMorgan and Bank One merger. I was then seconded onto a regulatory response programme for the Bournemouth site as whole which was successful.Based on my experience in the merger space I was approached by Barclays.
