Participated in The Commons Spring 2018 Student Start Up Challenge with KardashevOne.Worked with a team of students and mentors in order to properly identify a problem within a warehouses logistics and supply chain system. By using the information and insights obtained from the logistics professionals we spoke to, we were able to focus on the specific problem of inventory management within manufacturing facilities. By identifying the pain points of inventory management, we came up with a solution. This solution sought to automate stocking and restocking of "small part" bins on a manufacturing line. By utilizing an automated system like this, valuable time and labor hours could be maximized and manufacturing facilities could see a significant increase in productivity and efficiency.
