A career that combines Trees and the outdoors has provided me with skills that I believe are essential in todays business environment. In my time at the Canopy Tree Services, the work I have undertaken has enabled me to develop a range of skills in customer engagement, technical competency, team management, staff training/motivation & mentoring, and decision making. My varied employment and life experience enables me to provide both practical solutions and creative alternatives for any situation, whilst managing complex relationships with customers and stakeholders alike. This is in support of my ambition to excel in all aspects of my workSince 2004 I have built and grown Canopy Tree Services into a successful tree surgery business. Under my direction in 2014 Canopy Tree Services became an Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor, this involved the development of a considerable number of policies and procedures required to ensure we met the high Standards set by the Arb Association. As the business has grown, I have had to continue to develop the policies and strategies to ensure we operate to best practice. I have developed a team of employees to aid in the running of the business and frequently work with architects, designers and builders during development projects. I regularly complete written reports, including Arboricultural Implication Assessments, Tree Condition Surveys, Mortgage reports and TPO consultations. I have a number of repeat clients especially, for schools and parish councils and it is likely that many of these clients will continue to require annual surveys. I also have experience and some success completing tender documents.
