As the Managing Director I am responsible for business development throughout the group. I am a qualified ICORR Level III Coatings Inspector , ICORR Level II Hydrocarbon Fireproofing Inspector, NACE Senior Corrosion Technologist and professional member of the Institute of Corrosion, MICORR. All of our management team are working towards the ICORR level III Coating Inspectors certification with a view to using our knowledge of steel surface preparation and coating application to enhance our own QA/QC procedures. Our company has a team of fully qualified ICATS/TTP/PFP engineers and pump operators who have extensive experience of abrasive blast cleaning, steel corrosion control and hydrocarbon fire protection, within the waste to energy, mineral processing, nuclear, rail, petrochemical, marine, oil, gas and food processing industries. We area a sustaining member of the Institute of Corrosion. Our engineers are fully qualified in modified epoxy passive fire protection using plural component equipment. We work across the UK and Europe, Middle East and Asia as a specialist contractor and licensed applicator of Firetex M90, Jotachar JF750, Pitt Char XP and Chartek. Coating removal is a an integral element in our serice portfolio. SPG exclusively provide RPR heat induction and Industrial Co2 blasting as methods of coating removal for coating thicknesses up to of 40mm. We have lead the way in the application of thermally insulating coating systems. These systems are designed to reduce our clients carbon footprint through minimising thermal transfer whilst improving sustainability and producing an annual saving in energy expenditure. SPG are also a licensed applicator for Steelpaint GmbH. Steelpaint moisture cured urethane technology has revolutionised coating application within the rail industry. We hold current UKAS, ISO 9001 and 14001 accreditations through Exova, alongside RISQS via audit through Achilles.
