Corporate Affairs InternFujitsu In The Uk And Ireland Apr 2016 - Jun 2016JpDuring my Commercial placement, I proactively sort out a placement within the Corporate Affairs team to experience a different side of the Fujitsu business. From this experience I gained a greater understanding of both the practicalities of British Politics and of the policy process from the perspective of industry. During this placement I undertook the following tasks:• Solely represented Fujitsu at a Maitland Political Roundtable Lunch to discuss the London Mayoral elections and produced a summary report on my findings.• Attended a ComRes breakfast briefing on the EU referendum and wrote a summary of my findings which were sent across to the Head of Marketing for EMEIA.• Attended a Cicero Group event on the Future of the Labour Party and wrote a summary of my findings which were distributed to senior members of the business. • Wrote congratulation letters to newly elected members of the Welsh and Northern Irish Assemblies• Produced Fujitsu-related Government Minister and Northern Ireland Executive profiles. • Completed numerous stakeholder maps.In addition, I also participated in a day’s placement at Grayling where I was able gain an insight into the operations of a Public Relations company and secured an invitation from Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson to participate in a tour around the House of Lords. -
Commercial Shared Services Industrial Placement StudentFujitsu In The Uk And Ireland Jun 2015 - Jun 2016JpThis role entailed being a valued member of a multinational Commercial Shared Services (CSS) team based in multiple locations within the UK and in Pune, India; completing both client facing, and internal facing tasks. Through this role I have developed: an understanding of the workings of commercial contracts (both public and private), an understanding of contract law, expertise in SharePoint database redesign, a practical understanding of contract conformance and company red lines, editorial and creative writing skills, as well as organisational and team working skills through leading and completing multiple CSR projects (see Volunteering section). Whilst on placement, I also completed over 50 hours of commercial related training.Please see the attached document for details of tasks I have successfully completed over the course of my placement as well as details of the Responsible Business Project for which I was part of the winning team.
