Responsibilities included: Scheduled preventative maintenance of all instruments, valves and analyzers. Interface closely with Operations to coordinate instrument repairs and calibrations. Perform repairs, calibration, and maintenance on plant instrumentation equipment in a safe, timely, and cost effective manner. Report to the Maintenance Supervisor and oversee the daily instrumentation maintenance activities at the plant including processing units and associated equipment, tank storage facilities, well pads, brackish wells, truck unloading/loading facilities. Able to quickly learn SAGD processes and operations including a strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation, including PLC control systems. Perform quarterly testing of fire and gas analytical systems safely and effectively in a live operating situation. Interface with Operations and Programmer to test safeguarding set points and trips in a live operating condition without upsetting plant process and control. On call 24/7 in emergency maintenance or plant upset conditions for troubleshooting and repair. Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Word/Excel, e-mail and maintenance scheduling and tracking systems such as SAP and JDE. Work in unison with other craft members, safety team and procurement to coordinate and perform scheduled outages and major repairs or shutdowns. Commission new well pads, systems and installations coming online. Strong understanding of water treatment analyzers, maintenance and calibrations
