Ben is responsible for the general operations of George Rydell and provides leadership in the successful completion of all construction projects. He has more than 18 years in the construction industry and the added experience of managing a diverse range of construction projects in the industrial, commercial, manufacturing and retail sectors. From a young age, Ben worked his way up through the ranks of the family business whilst also completing his education. During this time he gained valuable experience in a variety of roles such as: estimating, administration, site management and carpentry – which gave him a well-rounded overview of the business and a true appreciation of all aspects of the company. During his time as a project manager, Ben worked closely with clients and consultants on both design and construct, as well as hard-money projects – ensuring that all aspects of the projects were completed on time, within budget and to the highest level of quality. Ben describes his career highlight as the successful completion of the Murray Goulburn Laverton (VIC) and Erskine Park (NSW) projects ($60+M), where he worked as the project manager with both projects running concurrently.
