This role requires me to operate and maintain Expro’s world leading subsea safety and completion systems. Primarily working with landing Strings (Expro ELSA HD) and riser control modules (RCM) electro-hydraulic (EH) control systems. As a EH specialist my main duties include carrying out all onshore maintenance, fault finding and testing of the EH controls equipment, test and service the client communication electrical systems, and when required assist with maintenance of the direct hydraulic (DH) subsea safety valves. Also to act as a mentor and train junior technicians within our team. On a daily basis I have to liaise with client representatives to ensure that all maintenance activates and documentation is completed to the required client defined and API standards, within the deadlines set for project requirements. I am proficient in various forms of pressure testing (hydraulic and gas) and as part of may duties have to carry out inspection and sign off for pressure test set up’s. This role entails me to travel internationally both on and offshore installing and testing the full range of Tronic subsea electrical systems to client’s equipment. From umbilical connections through to down-hole gauge instrumentation/control systems and mains power cables for the subsea oil and gas industry. In this role I have to act as the company’s representative whilst working with clients, attending and presenting project briefings advising on possible product installations and liaise between Tronic and client technical departments. In this role I have worked for a variety of different companies within the Oil & Gas sector requiring me to travel extensively working throughout the UK, Norway, USA, Malaysia and Africa. To enable me to do so I have completed various security checks and visa applications which have all been granted and currently still in place.
