In my role as Business Development Manager at Kintetsu World Express, I focus on driving growth in our freight forwarding services. I develop and implement strategies to expand our market presence and increase revenue. My day-to-day involves researching market trends to identify new business opportunities and understanding the specific needs of our clients.I regularly meet with potential clients to discuss how our freight forwarding solutions can meet their logistics needs. I also handle the preparation of sales contracts, ensuring they comply with all legal requirements, and maintain detailed records of our sales and revenue. Providing excellent after-sales support is crucial, so I stay in touch with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:Engaging with new potential customers to drive business development within the district.Organise sales events to drive existing and new customer engagement.Ensure updated marketing materials are accessible to Sales team and create customer-focused PowerPoint presentations from various marketing material. 12 month industrial placement whilst studying towards my Business Management degree. This year served as an introduction to the freight forwarding and the greater logistics industry. I was fortunate enough to receive a return offer and work during my final year of university.

I worked at Berkeley installations for three years whilst completing my A levels in Business, Economics and Politics. Working at Berkley's was my first 'proper job' which taught me about the importance of teamwork on group projects. I spent a large amount of time shadowing the electrical contacts manager, whilst also spending time in data centres, learning the ins and outs of the industry.
