In order to make the impact created by partnering startups more tangible Planet A is developing an application that computes and visualises achieved and forecasted resource savings. As a freelance software engineer I consult the project team in infrastructural decisions and develop central parts of the data pipeline myself. The technologies I primarily use in the project include the Python data processing stack, Apache Airflow and tools from the Google Cloud Platform including BigQuery, Google Cloud Functions, Google Storage APIs.

Following the end of my role as engineering fellow with the Tech4Germany fellowship I was hired by the German Federal Antidiscrimination agency as a freelance software engineer to continue working on the project, which is meant to go live as part of the relaunch of their website. The developed tool provides people seeking help with the agency quick and intuitive access to help and relevant information. The technologies primarily used in development include React, Typescript and the AWS toolstack.

As part of the fellowship which is sponsored by the German Federal Chancellery I acted as lead software engineer in developing an online support tool for people seeking help and information with the German Federal Antidiscrimination agency. Following the end of the fellowship I was hired as a freelance software engineer to continue working on the project.

As data scientist I worked in a team developing custom data science and machine learning solutions for global and multinational clients across different industries. Projects included a natural language processing pipeline for high-frequency data streams, an object recognition application leveraging transfer learning to adapt to a large-scale image pool and a Time Series Prediction tool for price developments in a highly dynamic market environment. My focus lay on developing accurate and reliable algorithms but my responsibilities also included the setup and maintenance of scalable prototypes. The technologies and frameworks I primarily worked with were the python data and machine learning stack (pandas, scikit, tensorflow/pytorch), a range of database systems (SQL, NoSql, Hadoop) and for rapid prototyping frontend frameworks like React and Javascript.
