As CFO, I play a key role as the main owner of any commercial/financial decisions. This included analyzing the following to use in the decision-making process: aspects of customer behavior to see how products and operational strategies impact retention and customer lifetime value/profit; cost structures to perform real time breakeven analysis to set clear and actionable goals such as how many orders we need to attain in a given week; and operational KPIs to understand which areas we are overspending in our fulfillment process. As COO, I was on the ground as we began operations and helped develop and execute the fulfillment/logistics strategy to minimize operational costs and find synergies between our different workstreams, and performed sorting and deliveries myself.

Business Consulting - Pricing, Product and Commercial StrategyDuring this time, I have worked with SaaS companies and increased my knowledge of how companies approach partnerships and integrate their products into their back-end operations and prioritize customer experience while recommending go-to-market strategies. I have performed product portfolio analysis to determine highest performing products and partner channels, analyze the Payroll and HCM SaaS industry to determine the strategic direction and innovation of the industry, and helped analyze customer contracting processes to streamline and enhance the onboarding process. Additionally, I developed business cases for sales proposals and other projects by performing market research and due diligence across the client’s financials to see where we could assist them in targeting potential areas for revenue improvement.

Business Consulting - Finance Strategy and TransformationI analyzed and streamlined company’s corporate processes (record-to-report, procure-to-pay, financial planning & analysis, quote-to-cash). This helped me develop a strong understanding of how the back-end functions of a company operate from a corporate finance and business division perspective. I've also spent time helping a pharmaceutical company re-organize their global headcount to effectively carry out their Record-to-Report process. Additionally, I helped a satellite company develop a strategy for submitting reimbursements to the FCC Clearinghouse and gained experience working one-on-one with clients for 8 months, driving all communications and deliverables to logically present their program expenses to quickly receive reimbursements.
