About Ben Gregory

Spent most of my career as the lead or sole designer for linear actuators used to pump subterranean oil or water for oil and gas producers throughout the world. These machines required me to design gears, castings, weldments, and sheet metal parts paired with spec'd motors, gearboxes, bearings and other purchased parts. Along the way I did FEA, structural studies, BOM/part management, assembly doc, and failure analysis among many other things. Currently I have transitioned to designing hands tools in the consumer products industry.
