Provided oversight and direction to the administrative, business and clinical operations of the Center, consisting of 56 inpatient beds serving adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues. Responsible for Center’s business plan.Administrative and Business Oversight Worked with NC State Officials and Regional Managed Care Organizations to developing effective business strategies and plans that support both short-term and long-term objectives for inpatient behavioral healthcare in North Carolina. * Developed an effective Leadership Team to transition the Hospital through a realignment of inpatient treatment services and begin exploration in the development of outpatient treatment services to expand billing potential. * Developed a dual treatment program at WBJ by partnering with CMS to develop an inpatient Distinct Part Psychiatric Hospital and an Inpatient Substance Use Treatment Center. * Working knowledge of CMS Psychiatric Hospital Standards and Joint Commission’s Behavioral Health Standards.Financial Management * Provided direct oversight of all operations and business activities to ensure outcomes support transition and business model projections. * Created internal Hospital Team Scorecards to focus team leaders on internal financial and clinical outcomes impacting service delivery. * Working with NC DHHS / DSOHF to develop an outpatient treatment program, expanding the continuum of care for the Hospital and increasing billing options. * Worked with the North Carolina Office of State Human Resources to explore and develop new process, expanding weekend and 12-hour nursing coverage options.
