I worked in Jose Millan's lab as part of the team developing brain-controlled devices. This included a brain-controlled wheelchair and a brain-controlled telepresence robot, with applications targeted towards patients with severe neuromuscular disabilities. These devices enabled the user to navigate purely through their thoughts, with no muscular activity whatsoever.As a part of this, I focused on developing robust & reliable signal processing & probabilistic machine learning techniques to learn a subject's neural patterns and use those as control signals in order to drive the wheelchair and telepresence robot.
