Lead Bloomberg’s global strategy and priorities for a team of 65 Payroll, Employment Tax, Benefits, Immigration, Mobility Reward professions who support ~25,000 employees in over 170 locations worldwide.

Manage a global team of 34 benefits, mobility, immigration & tax professionals based in NY, London, Singapore, Tokyo and Sao Paulo.Responsible for the delivery and execution of all non-cash reward, leaves/absence management, global & domestic mobility, transferee and employment tax and immigration.

Manage the Asia Pacific Global Mobility & Benefits team covering but not limited to: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand & Vietnam. GLOBAL MOBILITY- Manage team responsible for circa 150-200 APAC local to local inbound relocations per annum- Continuously review and develop the Global Mobility Framework to meet business and employee needs and ensure we remain at the forefront of Mobility management trends- Advise on compensation proposals and relocation benefits for senior international movesTAX COMPLIANCE - Monitor employment and expat tax risks and developments in the region and work with US HQ Finance to make recommendations and implement any necessary changes to reporting- Review short term business visitor reporting requirements and implement compliance - Gained extensive knowledge of most AP tax regimes for income/employment tax reporting including China IIT, HK salaries tax, Japan national/local tax, Singapore income tax, Australia income tax and social security and US Federal and State tax/social security issues for employees in all AP locations.IMMIGRATION - Developed internal immigration policies to streamline processes and improve employee experience - Detailed knowledge of Journalist/Employment visa processes across AP regionREWARD/BENEFITS- Manage team responsible for all health, wellness and retirement plans for Asia Pacific and the international pension plan offered in all regions- Ongoing review/updates to our benefits offerings to ensure best practice and cost effectiveness of plans providedGENERAL- Manage service delivery of all external Mobility/Benefits partners - Partner with HR Shared Services and Recruitment teams to streamline Mobility and Benefit processes - Advise on benefits, HR policies and compliance for global acquisitionsHK based July 2013 - Sept 2014. - Advise on all aspects of compensation and global mobility/expatriate tax for assignments and permanent moves into and out of Asia Pacific.- Regional team lead on advice/compliance for Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.- Asia-pacific mobility lead for IBD, Equities, Research, Finance, Legal & Compliance.- Vendor management included: DSP, expatriate tax, immigration and shipping.- Frequent business traveller tax projects for China and Taiwan.

EXPATRIATE TAX AND GLOBAL MOBILITY- Expatriate payroll including management of UK modified payroll and review of US payroll- Structuring of international assignments - advise business on cost effective packages - Analysis of international social security for expats - Assignee case management- Implementation of new global mobility & local transfer policiesINTNL EMPLOYMENT, REWARD AND COMPLIANCE- Lead for several key international employment compliance projects- Implement payroll - source and manage external vendors- Review of employment terms and conditions and benefit provision (statutory and best practice)- Draft/issue employment contracts- Travel to overseas offices to conduct staff briefings on HR/reward issues- Extensive experience with compliance, payroll and staff benefits (set up of employment processes) in Africa including; Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nigeria, Burundi and South Africa.

Dual handler (US and UK) expatriate tax/social security compliance and advisory, specialising in the Financial Services market.- Day to day management of a key global banking engagement and personal tax contact for several London based senior executives for leading financial institutions- Review of UK and US tax returns/tax equalisation calculations- Entry and exit expat tax briefings for assignees- Tax analysis of deferred compensation structures- Advise and respond to UK and US tax authority audits and investigations- International social security compliance - Short term business visitor reporting and advice on frequent business travelers.
