Soon after leaving school in 1987, my father and I incorporated a food service equipment company, Ben Healy Sales Ltd.I gained experience in a range of skills across the industry, and quickly developed an aptitude for purchasing. The business expanded rapidly throughout the 1990's, growing it's customer base, product range and servicing division, establishing the Ben Healy Sales brand as an industry leader in the munster region.In the economic downturn experienced nationwide from the latter part of 2007 the business struggled with a number or factors, primarily the lack of available finance for existing food business clients as well as a complete shut down of established banking provisions. Under advice from our auditors the business ceased trading in early 2009. We incorporated Proquip Ltd in 2008, and have worked diligently to grow the business over the last decade.
