I also expanded my skillset in the areas of query construction to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Using satellite imagery and ancillary sources, I also performed feature extraction tasks encompassing various themes.

As a Land Stewardship Intern, I assisted in the management, preservation, and reconstruction of native and remnant prairies across the state of Iowa. I gained knowledge in the identification of native and invasive plant species as well as the proper methods in which to manage them. Working alongside landowners, both public and private, fostered growth on both personal and professional levels and I feel as though the experience greatly benefited me in the end.
