I am currently working at CDP as a Senior Technical Officer for Forests and Land Use. My time at CDP so far has provided me with many opportunities to develop my career skills. For example, my knowledge around sustainability, such as current issues and best practice around the topics of deforestation and forests degradation, has grown through conducting research projects and through collaboration with knowledgeable colleagues. Aside from subject knowledge, I have been able to improve my presentation skills by presenting at internal all-staff webinars. Additionally, CDP has allowed me to develop my technical skills, such as allowing me to attend the 'Excel Advanced' training session offered by STL Training. In 2019, I attained a 2.1 in BSc Human and Physical Geography at the University of Reading. My time at university provided me vital knowledge that I was able to use as a stepping stone into my career in sustainability. My modules covered topics such as climate change and corporate responsibility, whilst projects like my dissertation provided me with experience of qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
