In August 2020 I joined BMS as a foundation member of BMS Group’s Australian Energy practice, focussing exclusively on clients in the Power, Energy & Renewables sectors. My remit spans both the Construction and Operational Phases of a project’s life, including all aspects of pre-construction advisory.Prior to joining BMS, I worked with Aon from 2019-2020 working with major clients in the Power, Energy, Renewables and Real Estate sectors, and Willis Towers Watson (previously Willis) from 2009 - 2018, in a variety of roles servicing predominantly the Construction & Infrastructure sectors. Notably, I worked with Willis Towers Watson in their Brisbane, London and Melbourne offices over this time.Prior to Willis, I had a number of years’ experience working for a mid-market broker in Brisbane, as well as major national and international Insurers.I have previously been engaged a number of Australian major projects including the Australia Pacific LNG Project, INPEX’s Ichthys LNG Project, various PPP’s including the Queensland Schools Project and the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing Project, as well as a significant volume (exceeding 4GW) of renewables projects including Solar PV, Wind and Utility-Scale Battery Storage Systems. At an international level, I have been engaged on projects including the Sur IPP in Oman; a number of airports (Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Jebel Ali) in the UAE; YAMAL LNG Project in Siberia; SAMREF’s Clean Fuels Project and Petro Rabigh’s Phase II Expansion Project in Saudi Arabia; the Patrind Hydropower Project in Pakistan; DP World’s London Gateway Port, and Warren County Power Station in the USA.I am highly experienced in negotiating and liaising with Insurance & Risk Managers, Project Team personnel, Financiers, Contractors, Manufacturers and Suppliers and am fully conversant with their requirements and the contractual environment in which they operate. I have significant experience in reviewing a broad range of contracts from an indemnity and insurance perspective, and drafting insurance program structures and policy wordings so as to maintain continuous compliance with the requirements of such agreements.
