I leverage my expertise in power systems and energy markets to help my clients navigate the Energy Transition by providing market leading, evidence-based insights. My diverse experience in the energy sector allows me to ground modelling insights by using practical real-world examples.An area of focus is the National Electricity Market (NEM) where I lead the development of bankable independent due diligence and transaction support on a diverse range of projects. I work on both the buy and sell side of transactions for existing and in development generation assets. I provide support for clients looking to finance the construction, ownership and operation of new generation capacity in the NEM. I have deep experience with wind, solar PV, pumped hydro and battery storage in this context.I am highly experienced across a wide range of service capabilities offered by EY-ROAM, including:- Wholesale electricity price forecasting- Frequency control ancillary services (FCAS) price forecasting- Revenue stacking for battery storage and pumped hydro- Network congestion and curtailment risk assessments- Marginal loss factor (MLF) forecasting- Distribution loss factor (DLF) forecasting- New entrant market studies and development project site scoping- Subject matter expertise for wholesale market operations compliance risk auditing- Subject matter expertise for corporate PPA procurement processes- Subject matter expertise in relation to the design of physical and market-based hedging strategies for retail portfolios- Fault level studies to screen sites for potential system strength issues

I optimised generation revenue and managed market risks in the NEM for a large wind turbine portfolio. This required a deep understanding of market conditions, competitor bidding behaviour, network constraints and meteorological data.I also engaged in 24/7 monitoring of wind turbines via SCADA systems in order to provide operational support including troubleshooting and outage management.I was involved in a wide range of analytical and reporting tasks for key stakeholders within the business. These tasks primarily facilitated outcomes in asset management, energy markets and portfolio development.

Laboratory demonstrator for Electrical Engineering Design (ELEC3117), Electronics (ELEC3106) and Engineering Design and Innovation (ENGG1000).This role involved communicating effectively with students to improve their understanding of key electrical engineering concepts taught through prescribed and open ended lab work. I sought to improve students competency in the use of electronics lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators and power supplies as well as good experimental technique.
