I moved to Amsterdam from the UK to take responsibility for the European mainland business, creating and implementing a strategy for growth that was tailored to the geographic and sector requirements.The main focus was finding and supporting Western European clients (retailers and brands) to build and deliver their retail strategy via engaging creative and production solutions.

Responsible for a team of 15 marketeers who together shaped and delivered the in-store marketing strategy for the business.

Responsible for delivery of TTL advertising for Local marketing activity (new stores, remodels, store change), Multi-channel (home delivery and collection) and Formats Innovation (Stores of the future, tech, process improvement)

Responsible for managing innovations for the POS and the Events Marketing teams. Focus on improving processes and creating new and exciting ways of communicating with our customers.

My re-mit was to manage the value, H&L and events communications to stores as part of the colleague communications team. The focus of the team was to give stores exactly the right level of detail to do their job, no more, no less. As such we had to be strict with colleagues at head office in order to drive efficiency at store. This role allowed me to engage colleagues at all levels across the business and develop a broad retail knowledge.

In my first role at Asda I supported the Head of POS, Food POS Manager and Events POS Manager to land various projects. At this stage there was more of a focus on admin but I gradually built the role and at the end of my time was responsilble for landing various events including Fathers Day, the Saints Days and other Q1 events.
