This included initial policy design, consultations, legislative design and shepherding the Financial Sector Reform (Hayne Royal Commission Response) Bill 2020 through the Parliament.- Consideration and advice on the SME Loan Guarantee Scheme, a $40 billion loan scheme to support small and medium size businesses in response the COVID-19 pandemic. Assessed and made recommendations on banks and other financial institutions applications to be included in the scheme.- Transnational Serious Organised Crime (TSOC) coordination of Commonwealth law enforcement agencies in design and implementation of new legislation. Consideration of anti-money laundering, counter terrorism financing and all black economy matters in the Australian economy.- Black Economy Taskforce: design and implementation of recommendations, further oversight of new legislation and law enforcement.- Coverage of the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry; advisor on small business, lending and consumer matters.- Financial Product Design and Distribution Obligations & Product Intervention Power (PIP & DDO); Managed complex stakeholders including major banks, financial and insurance institutions, consumer groups and government agencies to provide advice endorsed by the Government. This was legislated by the Parliament enacting Financial System Inquiry (FSI) recommendations.- Small Business Digital Taskforce: trusted Treasury Official engaged to provide strategic guidance and support to high profile CEOs to develop, consult and provide the Treasurer with recommendations on how the Government can encourage small businesses to adopt tech that grows and supports their business. Funded in MYEFO 2018-19; a key development in the Australian Government's direction and strategy in how to support Australia's small and medium businesses.
