I started my education in Newfoundland at Memorial university. I completed one year in a business program and left to take on a business venture with New Orleans Pizza. Over 7 years I owned 6 locations throughout Grey and Bruce County. I won young entrepreneur of the year in my second year at age 23, I was runner up in the community service award with the Owen Sound Chamber of Commerce on multiple occasions. I had up to 40 staff at one point during my tenure.When I left New Orleans Pizza I completed my education at Georgian College. I finished top of my class in the business program and received the Governors General award for outstanding student. Georgian College enhanced my business acumen. Most go through school first then look to get experience. My life took me on a different path.I am a person who likes to sit down and help others through challenges that they have. Most commonly I do this through my work at CIBC. At CIBC I help personal and business clients achieve their goals through lending, investments and other products CIBC offers.I have been involved in two not for profit organizations. Safe n Sound is a homelessness initiative. In the past I was the treasurer for the organization. I helped with multiple fundraisers, implementing new policies among other responsibilities. Safe n Sound will always hold a special place for me as I made a connection that lead to the adoption of my first child.I have helped with fundraising for another organization called Catapult. It helps entrepreneurs get mentorship and guidance. I set up an annual golf tournament with other people in the organization and it is now an annual event.I am always eager to learn and firmly believe that everyone I meet has something that they can teach me.
