Student Process EngineerMerck Millipore, Tullagreen, Carrigtwohill, Co.Cork March 2021-Septermber 2021This role involved supporting day to day activities and trials across 5 different departments in the Biotools area. The main responsibilities and achievements included:• Leading feasibility trials on an automatic line. • Analysing lab results from trials on Excel and Minitab.• Presenting to management on new equipment recommendations. • Supporting air-flow, water-flow and burst testing trials on medical device machines. • Analysing lot histories on Mini-Tab. • Leading change control meetings.• Completing FMEAs with the cross functional teams, including maintenance, operations, quality, EHS and engineering. • Monitoring machine results such as yield and humidity to improve machine output.• Updating of documents (including site procedures) • Inspecting moulding cavities to ensure labeling and moulding was to an adequate standard.• Leading initial feasibility for a new printer in the medical device department. • Completing defect analysis for in process failures.
