Ben joined Capital One in 1999 and still loves leading big, diverse teams in solving some of the company’s toughest and most important business problems. He is currently the COO of the rapidly growing Trade Credit business that he helped Capital One acquire in 2019. In his role, Ben leads a 300-person team including operations, transformation, new partner onboarding, and risk functions. Past roles also included third-party management, consent order remediation, process improvement, robotic process automation (RPA), horizontal program leadership, and core processing platform conversion. Ben is well known as a top people leader in the organization and a builder of high performing teams. Ben proudly served as the National Lead and Accountable Executive for Capital One's Military Business Resource Group (Salute) - and continues to serve on the Advisory Council he established. Prior to joining Capital One, Ben was an intelligence officer in the US Army where he served as platoon leader, executive officer, and staff officer with several Middle East deployments.Ben earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State. He has a Lean manufacturing certification and is Six Sigma Black Belt trained. He lives in Richmond, Virginia.
