This role oversees the beverage program for mar'sel, manages inventory, and collaborates with the Purchasing Department to maintain PAR levels and accurate beverage offerings while upholding the resort's AAA Four Diamond Standards and Four Star Forbes rating.Key responsibilities include maintaining exceptional customer service, promptly resolving guest concerns, and personalizing guest interactions. The Assistant Manager trains and motivates staff, including Servers, Bussers, Bartenders, Expeditors, and Hosts, to exceed performance goals. They assist in recruiting, hiring, and completing paperwork for new hires and terminations, providing proactive coaching and counseling, and fostering a cooperative working climate to maximize productivity and morale.Operational excellence is achieved through effective inventory management, cost control, and collaboration with the Purchasing Department. The Assistant Manager ensures proper handling, cleaning, and sanitation of equipment, china, glass, and silver. Staying informed about resort amenities and special events, anticipating guest needs, and responding promptly are crucial responsibilities.Financial management involves developing strategies to improve revenues, manage expenses, utilize labor management tools, and participate in bi-weekly F&B leadership meetings. Safety and compliance are maintained by being aware of safety issues, reporting incidents to Loss Prevention (LP), and adhering to state liquor regulations.Administrative duties include completing maintenance work orders, monitor Revinate scores, and implement expense management controls and revenue improvement strategies.Overall, the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager ensures the smooth operation of mar'sel, delivering exceptional guest experiences and contributing to the success of Terranea Resort.
