I am a passionate and skilled Mechatronics Engineer with a diverse international background and hands-on experience in robotics, electronics, and computer science. I am a Swiss and US citizen and hold a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences in Mechatronics, earned through a trinational program across Switzerland, Germany, and France. This education provided me with a great understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of technology, enabling me to tackle complex technical challenges. Fluent in both English and German, I thrive in multinational environments, collaborating seamlessly with teams across borders.Currently, I am the Robotics Lead Engineer at Bushfiredrone, where I lead the development of a prototype aimed at addressing one of the world’s growing challenges—wildfire management. My work focuses on designing and testing advanced drone technologies that can effectively combat wildfires, ensuring our prototypes are highly functional in real-world conditions.During my studies, Ramon Sieber and I started Avabotics. Under this name, we developed two groundbreaking projects: an avalanche helmet designed to increase survival chances during avalanches by supplying oxygen and removing CO2 and a snow-stratigraphy drone to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of measuring snow layers, critical for avalanche risk assessment. These projects demonstrated our ability to combine creativity and technical expertise to solve real-world problems in innovative ways. There, I worked on developing a machine learning-driven system utilizing computer vision to enhance drone safety. This project helped me improve my skills in system design, testing, and integrating innovative AI technologies into real-world applications.My journey into drone technology began at the age of 13, when I built my first drone. Since then, I have been driven by my passion for autonomous aerial vehicles, continuously exploring the frontiers of this technology. My experiences also include working in the Drone department at Hitec Commercial Solutions in San Diego, USA, further honing my expertise in this field.I am always eager to connect with like-minded professionals and collaborate on projects that push the boundaries of robotics, AI, and drone technology.
