I began my career in the structural engineering sector where I gained valuable experience and knowledge in a variety of areas which include: - B2B Sales - Proficiencies in AutoCAD / MiTek Timber Frame / Wolf Truss Systems / Google Sketchup design software's.- Costing & Estimating methodologies - Project planning - Personal Organisation and Diligence After several years honing these skills I felt a new challenge was necessary to progress with my personal and business growth goals.The challenge presented itself when I was offered a position at Preston Technical who required a Business Development Engineer to help them grow from both a turnover perspective and within their strategic business aims.During my 10 years at Preston Technical I am proud to say I have drastically improved my understanding of business. Working closely with management I have gained skills in many areas which include:- Continuous Improvement Techniques - Management of a Project lifecycle - Project / Process mapping- Management and Leadership skills / techniques- Training / Coaching techniques- Design & implementation of Excel workbooks used throughout the business. - Thorough understanding and maintenance of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.I have been a key member of staff who has helped the company to achieve:- Growth of the business turnover by 45% - Gold medal award in Health and Safety - The granting of a patent for a new product the company has devised. - The creation and foundation of an internal & external Sales team.- Currently working towards the achievement of the Automotive IATF 16949 standard.With all this in mind I am now placed as a critical member of staff who is used to help inspire motivation and imbue a progressive work ethic within the teams I manage.
