As a mechanical engineer I supported the development of a medical CO2 humidifier for surgical application. My responsibilities were• Maintaining test lab facilities, including CO2 and nitrogen supply lines, environmental chambers, and mobile surgical tent ventilation system. • Maintaining and troubleshooting test equipment such as gas manifolds, thermostats, data logging equipment.• Improving testing facility equipment, such as reducing condensation errors with in-line humidity sensors. • Co-ordinating logistics for trial surgeries in local hospitals.• Developing risk assessment and risk mitigation for a clinical trial.

As the technical lead on the design and fit-out of a new 1000sqm manufacturing facility for scientific instruments requiring installing and commissioning bulk helium and nitrogen gas systems, gas supply lines and dangerous gas extraction systems all within ISO 8 Clean Room. My main responsibilities were• Installing gas lines and completing commissioning.• Building and commissioning workstations for the manufacturing facility.• Liaising and managing short-term contractors to meet project deadlines.• Tracking key project milestones and expediting items on the critical path.• Allocating and tracking of $530,00 budget and reporting weekly to CFO.

As a production engineer working on the assembly and manufacture of mass spectrometers some of my responsibilities were• Building and assembling mass spectrometers.• Troubleshooting and fault-finding mass spectrometers.• Inspection and QA of components.• Servicing and repairing scroll pumps, vacuum chambers and electrical ion guides.

Liaised between consulting team and contractors for various road and transportation projects. Duties included, but not limited to:Preparation of contract documents. Tender preparation and evaluation, requiring detailed knowledge of relevant standards.Preparation of bill of quantities and price estimation for projects Off site review of traffic signs, road markings, urban pavement design. Such reviews would be followed by technical reporting, detailing the changes required for project execution.Significant use of AutoCAD, detailing design of roadways, cycle-ways, shared spaces, car-parks.Monitored and carried out analysis of the performance of the M50 motorway and compiled monthly summary report.
