I am the proprietor of a restaurant in Exeter. Located opposite the cathedral in a Tudor building, I have worked to change the image from an outdated cafe, to a buzzing eatery open for all. Initially, it was described as Tea Rooms, but the public's image of what to expect is not the same as my own. So now it's a cafe. Now in our sixth year of trading we still have good sales growth, good feedback, and an increase in average spend due to meals sales. So the business plan is working.I also have a bit part in an Italian restaurant, Rosario's, in Bath. This is run by Rosario, who was the first employee at the start of The Boston Tea Party adventure back in 1995.In my spare time I organise and play for Wellington Thirds rugby team, and I am a very full-time dad of twins who were born in April 2013. My daughter is going to win Wimbledon, and my son is going to play for Exeter Chiefs! Watch this space (but don't hold your breath!)My goal is to continue to improve Tea on the Green. Our ethics are a bit old fashioned now; we DO buy locally (and do NOT use the phrase 'try to buy locally wherever possible). I think we are the only restaurant in Exeter who buys all it's meat from local, free-range farms. (I think The Boston Tea Party also does). Our coffee beans are roasted locally, our tea blended locally, our jams and marmalade come from 2 small, Devon farms, our eggs are local and free range, and we give 1% of our profits to Medicines Sans Frontieres. We sell tea grown in Cornwall, and wine from ExeterRecently our main attraction, the view, has been destroyed by fire. Exeter faces years of reconstruction.

Simply the best daytime restaurant for Italian food in Bath. And coffee by Rosario who is one of the finest baristas I have known after 20 years in the trade. (Yes, Ed of Clifton Coffee is still #1).
