Playing a key role in a business passionate about client and customer engagement, I was integral to our strategic growth. Working with our clients was the best part about this great role! By listening to them, I could gain an in-depth understanding of their requirements, and work with them to improve their salary packaging program. Starting as an underwriter in the Property Investors Unit, I moved to the role of Team Leader in the Motor Team. In addition to my core role, I was an active member in a range of company-wide initiatives and projects. Responsibilities were varied and included:- Leading fifteen commercial motor underwriters across two teams and managing workflow to optimise service and achieve goals.- Coaching and performance management to enable the development of team members.- Analysis and reporting of data relating to service, rate, retention and new business results.- Facilitation of Learning Teams and idea development sessions.- Active participation in various national and local projects, aimed at the improvement of processes and the customer journey.- Building relationships in a range of business areas across the country.- Birmingham Site Champion for dealings with RSA’s Mumbai-based support office.- Assorted HR-related activities, such as recruitment and absence management.- Contribution to periodic planning meetings and staff performance validation sessions.- The improvement of employee engagement, which is evaluated as part of an annual survey.

With a truly customer-focused service model, the company looks after hundreds of community and health organisations, including Epworth Hospital, World Vision, and Ambulance Victoria.Having commenced in a support role, I quickly moved into an account management position, looking after a portfolio of key clients. Key tasks included:- Managing the salary packaging requirements for over 1,000 employees across more than 25 organisations.- Fostering a relationship with key client contacts, including HR and Finance Directors and Managers.- Directly answering queries from external stakeholders.- Attending and coordinating client information sessions and one-on-one employee interviews.- Working closely with clients to ensure salary packaging benefits are maximised whilst minimising risk.- Developing and analysing reports on a regular basis.- Weekly reconciliation of payments made to employees against monies received from employers.- Processing bank files relating to the ordering, amending and termination of commercial debit cards.
