I designed and implemented the functional specifications and technical solutions to the SAP ESS/MSS 2004s Portal based on input from the business. Most work was in the area of Performance Management (PM) and Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM). The majority of my solutions are coded using Java Web Dynpro (utilizing NWDS and NWDI), with minor enhancements done in ABAP Web Dynpro. I recently completed a major upgrade effort, which updated the SAP systems to ECC EHP4 and NetWeaver EHP1. I was responsible for ensuring the successful copy and separation of the entire SAP Portal landscape from AMD to a new company GLOBALFOUNDRIES. The federated 2004s SAP NetWeaver Portal landscape included a consumer portal and ESS/MSS, SRM, and BI producer portals. I managed an SAP Portal team comprised of two US resources and one offshore resource. I configured LDAP as the portal UME. I setup Single Sign-On (SSO) between the Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Key Distribution Center (KDC) and SAP Portal to allow Kerberos authentication. I configured the SAP Portal to SSO all other backend users to Solution Manager, GTS, SCM, and ECC by launching SAP GUI from portal by passing SAP Logon Tickets through Citrix ICA clients. We implemented Citrix PS 4.5 and Web Interface 4.0 along with the Citrix provided par files with iViews and Roles configured for the SAP backend systems. I also reconfigured the Universal WorkLists(UWL) for SRM and HR in the consumer portal and HR producer portal.I worked from the client location in Austin, TX for the majority of the project, and also internationally for 1-2 months in Dresden, Germany.The project also included 3 additional phases, planned for completion near the end of 2009, and 2010. I met daily with the clientʼs HR, BI, and other business groups to gather requirements and define scope for these releases. I proposed and outlined productivity and maintenance enhancements to the Portal landscape and various business packages. I produced detailed technical and support documentation to hand over to the offshore support teams after the project team completed our work.

I was the lead portal developer of 3 person portal team for an SAP NetWeaver Portal solution for a General Ledger Account Reconciliation process across all business units of the client. I designed the technical blueprint for the Web Dynpro Java solution which integrated ECC 4.6c, ECC 6.0, BI, and NetWeaver 2004s. My team and I designed and implemented the solution for phases 1 - 3, and provided hyper care after the successful go live. I was responsible for distributing tasks among the portal members, reporting the build status to the project manager, and maintaining direct contact with the FICO consultants and test team. On the project I taught Basis and the IBM support teams how to setup NWDI tracks for concurrent development and production support. I designed reusable Web Dynpro components, integrated Web Dynpro with very complex ABAP RFCs, and built portal iViews, Pages, Worksets, and Roles. I also created BW iViews in the first release, and new 7.x BI iViews using portal federation and remote role assignments in the final phase. I also worked closely with Basis and BI functional team members to track down issues relating to remote role assignments and web templates in the BI producer portal.

At Allstate, my responsibilities included designing custom team viewers for Successions Planning, MSS PCRs using Adobe Interactive Forms, and Compensation Management. The client faced a major performance problem dealing with employee search and selection due to the large number of managers and delegations. I designed a custom Web Dynpro replacement for the SAP supplied team viewer which interfaced with a custom RFC in ECC which solved the performance look-up problems for the client. I also solved portal logoff issues with eHR, aided in end-to-end debugging between ECC, Web Dynpro and portal, and interacted directly with SAP Americaʼs support team to fix issues in the client's ESS/MSS release.

I served as the SAP Portal team lead for the AP and EMEA phases of a 50+ country ESS/MSS implementation supporting 10+ native languages. I lead the portal configuration, modification, and transport of Employee and Manager Self-Service (ESS/MSS) components globally. I worked extensively with teams from AMS and AoD, and presented recommendations on how best to modify and transport these changes during the future production support phases.

For this Vignette Portal project, I reverse engineered existing portlets to finish Detailed Design Specifications for the User Interface. This work included UML sequence diagrams for Application agents, Portlet interactions via Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX), and overall Site Map of the portal system. I expanded my architectural and development experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment 6 (WAS ND) and Vignette Portal 7.2. I helped construct and implement a refined design for filtering, sorting, and pagination in the Search portlet. I also worked on requirements gap identification between an existing HTML prototype, current portal presentation, and use cases. I prepared screen documentation of portlets for UI sign off by the client, and participated in requirement workshops with the IBM Business Analysts, Portal UI team, and the client VP of technology.

I created rooms, assigned roles to members from the UME, and helped setup XML forms and other iViews for the collaboration rooms.I developed the user interface for two complete processes developed for the portal. I also used UML for database and Java class design. I used Microsoft SQL Server 2000 to create databases and stored procedures for backend logic and reporting in our Java applications. I created a web service client proof of concept for SAP portal using DynPages, and Microsoft Internet Information Services using ASP.NET, to test connectivity and basic authentication between web services.
