About Ben Mclean

I am an early career researcher proficient in project design and management, critical data analysis and interpretation and scientific writing. I thrive both independently and within a collaborative environment, enjoying several successful international research collaborations with field leaders.I am a computational chemist and materials scientist with experience in developing and applying computational tools and theory to broadly relevant problems in materials science.I am motivated to perform and publish high quality science. The outcomes of my research reach across disciplines, guiding the design of materials synthesis and next-generation electronic devices.I am pursuing a successful career in academia, and am seeking opportunities in the future that will allow for fundamental research while focusing on teaching. I have a passion for teaching and find great joy in delivering an excellent educational experience to my students.I strongly advocate for an inclusive and supportive working environment.
