This includes education, training and tailored support to achieve best practice sport provision and facility operation. Provide best practice advice and support related to sport administration and governance to local sport clubs and other stakeholders including internally within Council. Identify and support the implementation of activations and sport events at Council’s sport facilities.Sport Liaison Foster strong and effective working partnerships with key external stakeholders including local sporting clubs, sporting peak bodies, Office for Recreation Sport & Racing, local government peers and industry consultants. Liaise with customers and delivery partners on sport related matters that the Sport & Property team is accountable for and coordinate responses. Prepare and coordinate distribution of communications and correspondence to internal and external customers for sport related matters.Facility & Asset Performance Administer and monitor the performance measures for community and sport building licence agreements, including periodical evaluation of best practice discount criteria. Administer and monitor the performance measures for commercial sport facility agreements. Maintain accurate records regarding use and performance of Council’s sport facilities, and provide regular data and insights for reporting purposes as required. Ensure appropriate support measures are in place to ensure Council’s sport facilities are operating in line with all applicable legislation and government directives. Provide informed advice in the planning and decision making related to new and to be renewed sport assets.
