Ben is a Civil Engineer. He is currently a Post Graduate Researcher at Queen’s University Belfast, completing a PhD in Bridge Engineering, specifically on the hydrological and structural interactions which occur at masonry arch bridges. Ben’s interests lie in the field of structural health monitoring and extends further to image analysis, finite element modelling and experimental data collection.His research is focused on developing a new method of predicting scour at bridges in an effort to combat the leading cause of bridge collapse and save historic bridges which are vital to our infrastructure network and industrial heritage.- ICE NI Emerging Engineers Award Winner 2024.- Occasional Lecturer & Demonstrator on UG and HLA Civil/Structural Engineering Degree Pathways.-
