The duties in this position include creating quotations for various production line machines and stations and working with the customer.

The main duty is to create requirements and systems architecture for electric vehicle power systems. Doing this involves coordinating with designers, understanding the system’s scope, defining it, and working to make a viable solution.

In this role, many responsibilities include increasing the efficiency of the production lines by reducing issues with faulty part production. Much of it includes identifying issues, trying to understand the issue in its entirety, and finding a way to adjust production so that the issue can be prevented. Other tasks include communicating with operators and other engineers to find out how to make production better, making stations easier for the operators to do their jobs, and assisting the quality department in various roles. Also, it involves running various production lines as an operator in some circumstances. Another task was to map out the floor plan to maximize efficiency with production in one plant area.

This position included operating various machines to produce various wet-friction brake discs for vehicles. Different machines trained on include: Lasermark, Rust Prevention Dipper, Degreaser Tunnel, and Deburr/Fladder. Much of the job also included packing parts to ship to customers and being the final inspector for the parts. Other knowledge gained includes tracking parts using control plans and databases and changing machine settings to work for different parts during changeover.

This is an inside sales internship. This role includes calling on behalf of multiple different companies that Incept Corporation has a contract to call for. For 6 months, calls were primarily to individuals on behalf of a major blood bank. Later on, there was an internal promotion to switch roles to finding leads and setting appointments for a small marketing company and a large janitorial contract company. Some other duties included list-building and researching names and phone numbers for the lists to call off of for various companies. Most of the employment was from home, so some major soft-skill learned are limited supervision, internet communication skills, and video conferencing.
