As Commanding Officer of the RAF Aerobatic Team the Red Arrows, my primary role was showcasing the excellence and professionalism of the Royal Air Force at home and abroad, through engagement with the public and industry at all levels. As Team Leader, I was responsible for all aspects of Red Arrows operations from public relations to career management, corporate hospitality to leading and supervising public displays. Being directly responsible for 13 aircraft and 100+ personnel, as well as the reputational risk of the RAF, was a unique but immensely rewarding challenge.
