Cornwall And Dorchester

Development Manager and Deputy to Estate Director, working on every aspect of development and estate management across the Duchy, including two of the most ambitious mixed use, mixed income sustainable development projects in the UK - Poundbury in Dorset, and Nansledan in Cornwall. Varied role covering all aspects of design and delivery of mixed use.

Bristol

Managing complex development and regeneration investment programmes, being accountable for all expenditure and performance targets based on socio-economic outputs and receipts from surplus public sector land. Commissioning remediation, demolition and enabling works over derelict sites held in various government department portfolios. Co-ordinating public.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, London

Dual role in Real Estate Team (legacy development) and 2 days per week seconded to Park Operations and Venues (Park Opening Programme Board). Role included tender/negotiation of first commercial lettings (prioritising local employment), and the first phase residential disposal (Chobham Manor). I was also tasked with creating the Estates Strategy for the QE.

Originally seconded to help set up the company, including negotiating and executing the transfer of the Olympic estate (staff, land and assets, budgets, rights and obligations) from the GLA/LDA to this government owned (DCLG and DCMS) private company (OPLC). OPLC was set up as a private company with a social purpose, to deliver on the long term vision for.

Canary Wharf

Acquiring land by negotiation through private treaty or CPO, with successful relocations of all residents and businesses ahead of procuring remediation, enabling works and building of the Olympic Park

Intensive 3 year management training and development programme. 6 month placements in every department to gain experience of managing all stages of the development process, with Directors as mentors. From land appraisals and acquisition to co-ordinating the design, planning and managment of major development projects, producing cashflow forecasts.
