Kia Ora! My Name is Ben, I am an Emergency Management Planner with Emergency Management Bay of Plenty (EMBOP). My work within EMBOP comprises of a multitude of different topics, however the key areas of work are focused on Risk Reduction Activities and Reporting across the wider BOP CDEM Group. I am a scientifically minded professional with a Postgraduate Degree from the University of Canterbury. I am passionate to drive change in the Emergency Management sector and increase the connection between Local Authorities and CDEM groups with specific regard to tackling reduction activities. I believe that as a collective we can contribute to making New Zealand a more resilient country that manages disaster risk in a pragmatic way by putting people at the heart of our activities.
