As a filmmaker I am interested in stories that inspire and educate. My most recent film, The 5 Browns: Digging Through the Darkness is an intimate look at a family dealing with a dark secret but finding solace and healing through their music. I do tend to be drawn towards music related subjects but not exclusively. I have worked on several projects dealing with a broad spectrum of issues ranging from children's heart disease (Children's Heartlink) to drug addiction and reintegration into society (Coordinated Behavioral Care) to mental illness in Liberia through a documentary film Still We Rise. (All clips available at www.plowproductions.com)My previous film, SOME KIND OF SPARK, follows inner-city kids in the Music Advancement Program at The Juilliard School. Prior to this I produced and directed the award-winning film, NOTE BY NOTE (The Making of Steinway L1037) which has now screened in 30+ countries and has been translated in 5 languages.
