Certified Operator
CurrentI currently work in the Process Area, within Rockwell Collins (Manchester, IA) as a Certified Operator performing daily tasks that mainly include: postcoating of assemblies/boards for top level products to be sold to customers (parylene - prime, mask, machine process, demask, inspect, touch-up if necessary, send to final inspection, product flow back to the line to be delivered out the door). The general day to day work deals with performing your task/tasks set forth for you and following your work instruction/engineer drawings while being held compliant with the company is what is expected day in and day out. We have demand to meet for our customer schedules, and our particular process of postcoating is the end of the line before the product becomes a finished good, so any and all disruptions to the flow (whether it's part shortages, defects, quality, late release of bare board, etc) tends to eat up our end lead time. Also volunteer on the ES&H committee, in which the committee meets once per month to touch basis on environmental/safety issues within the plant/company or general work place. I've been an active member/leader on the committee for two years now.
