I currently work as a Data Communication's Analyst at Frankenmuth Insurance while I'm pursuing my Master's in Information Security and Intelligence at Ferris State University. Through this job role I have gained experience with Cisco's Phone System (CUCM, Unity, UCCX), making configuration changes on cisco switches, and configuring Network Devices on the Meraki dashboard. I currently manage our organization's Ecostruxure power monitoring equipment and Cisco Umbrella. Since joining the team I've had the opportunity to work in a capacity that aligns with the security principles I am learning about in school. So far I've led an initiative to lock down and unpatch over 1000 unused network ports throughout the building, and created a standard for how authentication protocols should be applied based on the device using the network port. I've also structured DNS and Web policies to block threats as leadership expresses interest.

While searching for code errors I have learned to discuss findings with my team along with the development team in order to find the best remediation for the bug found. This experience is helping me see the development process used while creating a new web application and the steps that need to be completed in order for it to be a successful application.
