I lead the Foundation’s efforts to engage professional advisors and their clients to create meaningful, impactful philanthropy that benefits our community. As part of these efforts, I also supervise our planned giving efforts, and manage our impact investing portfolio and program. Ultimately, we want to create a diverse toolbox of philanthropic strategies to enable our donors and partners to achieve the impact they want to see in their communities.

Supported the diverse network of Colorado's oldest and largest community foundation through advice, content, and events for professional advisors, including attorneys, wealth managers, and tax professionals. Working with volunteer leaders, expanded the Foundation's Professional Advisors Council, and reinvigorated its activities and role. Grew the Foundation's advisor-managed fund program to over $180MM in assets. Led planned giving efforts, especially to expand the use of split-interest gifts and donations of complex assets.

Ben Perry serves as a Philanthropic Specialist for the PennDel Region of Wells Fargo Private Bank, working across the Northeast, and specifically in the PennDel, Connecticut, and Boston markets. As part of the Philanthropic Services Group, Ben works with non-profit organizations and high net worth families to accomplish their philanthropic goals. He has extensive expertise and experience in private and public fundraising, impact investing, donor advised funds, and strategic, high-impact philanthropy by individual and institutional funders.

 Manage a team at the intersection of philanthropy and finance for TNC’s largest global Region. Process, report, and forecast philanthropic revenue for a global program with $110M operating budget and 12 front-line fundraisers.  Lead Region’s prospect management, research, and stewardship functions, and deliver in-region trainings on fundraising best practices.  As a Coda Global Fellow, developed three-year strategic philanthropy vision and business plan for both U.S. and in-region fundraising, including business metrics to chart progress and drive revenue.

Provided stewardship support and project management for team of Principal Gift Officers responsible for supporting the organization’s global priorities through 7- and 8-figure commitments. Managed and delivered stewardship engagements to appropriately recognize the organization’s top supporters, volunteer leaders, and Board members. Served on the project management team for TNC’s 60th Anniversary Event and Gala.

Manage a diverse portfolio of over 150 individual donors, foundations, and corporations across eastern Pennsylvania and employ innovative strategies to solicit private funds in excess of $100k.

Raised funds from a portfolio of alumni major-gift prospects for a growing Philadelphia business school.

Represented $500M corporate donor-advised fund to high-net worth donors, facilitated gifts of securities and closely-held stock, and conducted national planned-giving seminars.

Served as primary point of contact for investors transferring $5M or more into Vanguard mutual funds, acquired additional assets through personal visits and trade show presentations, and conducted private placements for alternative investment products.

Series 6 & 63 investment representative for mutual fund call center.

Secured conservation easements, facilitated fee simple purchases, and improved stewardship practices for priority conservation habitat in northern Lower Michigan. Raised $350k for purchase of county nature preserve.
