Primarily providing mental health counseling to clients in the La Crosse County Jail, while also providing mental health counseling on an outpatient basis for La Crosse County consumers.

Responsible for contacting medical and/or dental healthcare professionals to retrieve missing or incomplete documentation of requested services and ensure customer/contract specifications are being met. Inform and educate office providers on expectations of service delivery and appropriate documentation of medical/dental services. Analyze order requests and determine appropriate course of action based on contract specifications with varied requirements and specific service component expectations.

Peace of Mind Counseling offers professional counseling for individuals and families in La Crosse County, Trempealeau County, Monroe County, Jackson County and Buffalo County in WI and Winona and Houston Counties in Minnesota.

Responded both by phone and in-person to evaluate adults/adolescents/children who are experiencing mental health crises. Worked closely with law enforcement agency staff, hospital emergency room staff and other mental health professionals, as well as support persons, to determine the needs of the individual and develop ways to meet the needs while also providing for safety and stabilization of the individual. Responded to calls by phone and also performs on-site, face-­to-­face crisis intervention services at various locations, including hospital emergency rooms, the crisis center and other locations in the community in conjunction with law enforcement and other program staff. Assessed adults/adolescents/children for risk of harm to self and others, using standardized clinical tools. Assessed nature of presenting problem and make care recommendations to emergency room physicians. Arranged for stabilization services in residential and/or outpatient settings. Developed Assessment and Response Plans for persons experiencing crisis. Participated in multidisciplinary dispositional staff meetings, regular supervisory/training sessions, and conferences and in­service training as required.

Lead, managed, supervised, and performed force protection duties, including use of deadly force to protect personnel and resources. Protected nuclear and conventional weapons systems and other resources. Performed air base defense functions contributing to the force protection mission. Controlled and secured terrain inside and outside military installations. Defended personnel, equipment, and resources from hostile forces.
